What is AcuStretch?
AcuStretch is a type of Acupressure Massage.
Acupressure is an ancient form of healing
massage technique that involves applying deep
pressure to various points on the body to relieve
pain, improve circulation, release tension, and
promote good health.
Acupressure is very similar to Acupuncture (and the
two are often confused), the only difference being
that, with Acupressure, there are no needles
involved.
Acupressure is less painful, non-invasive, and
more relaxing for the client than Acupuncture.
Acupressure uses gentle but firm pressure from
the fingers, hands and elbows, instead of needles
and electricity.
The practitioner applies this gentle but deep
pressure on specific points in order to relieve pain
and stiffness, prevent tension-related ailments, and
promote good health. The purpose of Acupressure
is to promote the body’s own healing power and
restore balance.
